Charles De Gaulle to San Francisco. Over 11 hours in the air. Thank goodness I had a great seat, a few good movies and a wonderful new book to keep me distracted. With only thirty minutes to kill before the next flight there was only one thing to do: a quick drink at a little bar a few steps from Gate 68 while reading the day's copy of The New York Times. A toast (Mumm, Napa) to a safe flight, to being back in the US and to be on my way home. Just two more hours and I'll be looking at my beloved Seattle skyline again. Cheers!
