It is no secret that the Marais is my favorite neighborhood in all of Paris. Period. I love everything about it and in my nsho (not so humble opinion) there is no better place to spend a Sunday. So that is what I did: walk its streets, eating and drinking my way around.
It was a free for all really. I slept in for the first time since I arrived in Paris. Around eleven I went out to Bastille, then walked all over, stopping for good street music and noshing on all sorts of things and shopping for foodie items to take home, perfume, books, deli treats for a late dinner and a few snacks to eat along the way.
At night it was yet another great, great film--Pedro Almodovar's La Mala Educacion-- (I see Oscar nods or at least a couple nominations) and the Egyptian tea room across from the movie house before and after the film.
It is almost midnight and I've just returned to the hotel. A perfect day made up of every little thing that I love about this city. I'll be having dinner now. Good night!
