Lunch: Dahlia Bakery Creamy Tomato Soup

Dahlia_bakery_creamy_tomato_soup_1

One of the many things I missed about Seattle while I was gone was my regular visits to Dahlia Bakery. I missed my Ficelle, my favorite sandwiches and pastries. Shopping for last minute BBQ sauce or rub for the evening's grilled dinner. Reading the paper over a cup of coffee and sweets while sitting on one of the streetside tables, watching neighbors and tourists walk by.

This was my first pit stop at Dahlia since returning from Paris. I snatched the last Ficelle in the basket and ordered their Creamy Tomato Soup. I took the soup home, plated it and sat down to enjoy it-- the soup includes two slices of Dahlia Lounge House Bread--while reading October's Seattle Magazine (28 Dining Deals).

The soup was comforting, a generous portion too; creamy but not heavy, and simply delicious. One of the many scrumptious items available at Dahlia Bakery and the perfect Monday lunch.
