L'As du Fallafel: Les meilleurs falafels de Paris!

2202005

L’As du Falafel is the equivalent of the soup nazi episode on Seinfeld and it is worth the long line.

There is this salt and pepper-haired man that smokes like a chimney and means business-you can see a bit of him in the middle photo. Remember that face as he will expect you to know what you want, order quickly, pay and wait to be called, get your falafel and move it. G-d forbid if you forget to order your drink!

While there are other falafel joints around, I have not found any other that beats L'As's spécial (grilled eggplant, cabbage, hummus, tahini and a dash of hot sauce) or their prices. On a Sunday, for lunch, this hits the spot and recharges your energy for more browsing and shopping and eating and walking around the Marais.

Have plenty of napkins around. Trying to eat a falafel on the go with a few bags hanging from your arms is a scrumptious but messy endeavor-hence the absence of a falafel photo. I ate mine while reading that message written on the window of a restaurant just around the corner.
