DeLaurenti's Seattle Cheese Festival

Fellow mice, heads up! If you live in Seattle and are a cheese aficionado then you are in luck. The weekend of May 14-15 DeLaurenti will be sponsoring the Seattle Cheese Festival where many of the best local cheese producers will be participating along with cooking demos and wine tastings at DeLaurenti.

On the main thoroughfare of Pike Place, dozens of Cheese Festival participants will be showcasing, sampling and selling their cheeses. Meet the following makers and distributors of fantastic artisanal cheeses and breads to match.

There also be The Northwest Wine Garden. It will take place between 12 and 5 at the market's main thoroughfare with your donation of $5 at the door going to support all the wonderful work The Market Foundation does in our city.

For members of the trade and serious cheese lovers, there's a series of seminars scheduled that one can register for (all six seminars-- 9am to 6pm-- are only $50) and look very interesting.

For families, there will be kid friendly activities to keep your little mice happy and of course, plenty of parking nearby to make it easy on those driving into the city.

As part of the festivities, the week of the festival (May 9-15) downtown restaurants Union, Maximilien, XO Bistro, Campagne, Fish Club, Tulio and Sazerac will be offering a Cheese Fest Best cheese dish.
