Fichi al Rhum di Cioccolato

1_52

When is a fig not just a fig? When it is "marinated in rum and Tahitian Vanilla, filled with 65% cacao ganache, covered with 71% cacao chocolate, and finally dusted with 100% pure cacao powder and organic cinnamon", said Lee Johnson,  Fiori Chocolatiers Master Chocolatier and the creator of this babies.

We had a couple of these beauties yesterday afternoon (purchased at Motore Coffee on 9th & Stewart) and I must say I'm totally hooked. There is a decidedly intense chocolate hit, followed by a rummy infused figgy core and more chocolate inside of that. Just delightful!

And so gorgeous to the eye you'll want to stare at these puppies for a while before eating them. The nice people at Motore will pack as many as you want--or need-- in a beautiful see through box with a lovely ribbon and card which makes them a most excellent alternative for the chocoholic on your list.
