This morning, after a little work in Belltown, I drove to First Hill, parked across St. James Cathedral on Columbia and walked into the Frye Museum to see Mark Ryden's Wondertoonel, view the Henk Pander exhibit and have a little lunch at their lovely café.
The Café is a little haven of green and good food in the middle of an otherwise concrete-ish and not terribly exciting medical and office business district.
And because the museum has its own parking and it charges no entrance fee--donations of course are welcome but a great way to support this beautiful place--it is a great way to get some feeding for body and soul in one of the most beautiful spaces in this lovely city of ours.
Lunch was a delicious Roasted Bone-In Chicken Breast With Gorgonzola served over Celery Root Purée with Red Chard, Pears and Grapes. It was finger-licking good and less than $10.
Here are some photos taken by me a few hours ago. More on my impressions on the exhibits later today.
